Our Team

Paula Hershman began this company in 2007 as she was transitioning from her graphic design business she discovered the joys and health benefits of fresh, great tasting organic loose leaf tea. She decided to start her own certified organic and Fair Trade tea business called Storehouse Tea.  Her artistic background helped her to create organic teas that were as beautiful to look as they smelled and tasted and to create the company and packaging branding.

Storehouse Tea is a highly regarded producer of creative, flavorful and healthy Certified Organic & Fair-Trade teas combined with a mission. Our teas are in world renowned restaurants, café’s and coffee/tea houses, local/regional and national healthy grocery stores and throughout North America through this web site.

We moved to the Hildebrandt
Building in Ohio City in 2015 to be closer to the energy and vibrancy of downtown Cleveland, but more importantly to be near and accessible to the refugee and immigrant population of Greater Cleveland.

Storehouse Tea's Mission

We believe in making an impact on current and future generations by employing legal international immigrants and refugees and locals from the Villa Hispania neighborhood we’re located. Our dedicated international group assists in small batch hand blending, packaging our teas and fulfilling orders.

As owners we want Storehouse Tea to be more than just a successful business, but to also give back to the people of our Greater Cleveland community, especially some of its newest members.

We are Thankful for Our Employees!

Many times, these precious souls have come here for a variety of reasons, civil war in their countries, religious persecution, or just for a better life. We're their first job in the USA, which can come with its challenges but often we receive much more than we give because of this populations’ work ethic, gratefulness and drive to succeed in their adopted country. We have worked with precious souls from Rwanda, The Congo, India, Iran, Thailand, Russia, Puerto Rico and we will soon
be hiring our newest immigrants from Afghanistan. Sometimes we have hired sisters & brothers, and even mothers and their children. It makes our workplace as lively and diverse as our teas, but we wouldn’t want it any other way!
